Administrative Assistant
Job Description and Qualifications
 
 
The MCC Education Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 that exists to support and enhance innovative education for all MCC students.
 
Position Summary:
 
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties, providing support where needed. This is a part-time position with an average of 8-20 hours a month.   This position offers a flexible schedule and remote work.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Foundation’s database entry, and performing database work as assigned.
  • Manage the donation process including getting the mail, recording donations into database, sending thank you notes, writing letters and tracking correspondence.
  • Managing the scholarship process.
  • Assisting with the quarterly newsletter.
  • Responsible for filing and maintaining official and office documents.
  • Assist with events or fundraisers.
  • Ability to interact with donors and maintain confidentiality.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries and be responsive to requests.
  • Design, create messaging and assist with social media outreach.
 
Experience and Educational Requirements:
 
Prefer experience working an administrative, office position combined with computer, social media, and database experience.  Complementary education is preferred.
 
Core Competencies:
  • Have strong data entry skills and experience with data entry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet/websites/social media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Experience in publication, design and layout work is beneficial.
